Homemade Caramel Icing

Ingredients

1/4 cup milk

1/4 cup butter

1/4 cup brown sugar

2-1/2 cups powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

In a small saucepan over medium heat, add milk, butter and brown sugar. Whisk together and bring to a boil.

Remove from heat and whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla.

Drizzle over cake, cupcakes, cookies, etc. immediately.

Notes

This recipe makes enough icing for a traditional bundt cake or a cake prepared in a 9"x13" baking pan.
